Foods for calming the mind
A simple diet with occasional light fasting promotes deep, peaceful thinking.
Introduce these foods to your diet, especially during stressful & challenging times and you will experience a much more centered & calmer approach towards life
. Grains: whole wheat, brown rice, and oats gently calm the mind.
. Silicon foods: cucumber, celery, lettuce, celery lettuce juice. Silicon foods strengthen the nerve and heart tissues.
. Fruits: mulberries and lemons calm the mind.
. Chia seeds: have sedative action
. Spices: dill and basil can be used both in food and teas.
. Herbs: chamomile (my favourite!), catnip or valerian - helpful for nervous person or insomniac.
. Organic Apple Cider Vinegar: one tablespoon diluted in a little bit of water. Take it every day.
. Magnesium in foods is healing to the heart. It retrains the "anxiety peptide", a complex of amino acids in the brain which appears to contribute to anxiety. Green foods like kale, broccoli, spinach, avocado, lettuce, cucumber, green cabbage, parsley, etc are rich in magnesium. Magnesium is in the centre of every chlorophyll molecule.
